Project:
A fully-lined pencil case with an elastic band to strap around a book.

Materials used:
Elastic Band Pencil Case can be made using both cotton canvas (with lining) and vinyl material (without lining).
You will learn how to:
operate a basic sewing machine
maneuver straight lines confidently
tips and tricks to getting nice, sharp corners
handle zips

A great way to get your children involved and inculcate a sense of belonging by getting them to make their very own pencil case! Pencil case straps to a school diary/book and you will struggle no more to find your pencils!
This workshop is ideal for complete beginners with no prior sewing experience. It is also very manageable for young children (ideally 8 and above), hence it's the perfect project for a parent & child bonding session.
Participants will be closely guided during the process and get to bring home not only the final projects but also soft copies of the detailed pictorial tutorials.
